OSRS Zulrah Guide

Zulrah was introduced on the OSRS platform in the year 2015. Killing Vorkath can get a lot of OSRS Gold. Being a boss that was introduced years ago, it is still on the top preferred charts because of the drops that it has to offer. However, fighting against this snake boss is not easy, and it can get quite challenging because of the mechanics. One of the reasons for it being difficult is that you can only fight it alone, and not with a group. Let’s get into the OSRS Zulrah Guide!

Requirements

To face Zulrah, it is recommended that you at least have 70 Defense, 80 Ranged – Magic – Constitution, and 45 Prayer, along with a decent Magic or Ranged gear, which entirely depends on which attack style you want to use. However, the best option would be to bring both sets of gears to switch during the battle and implement an effective strategy against it.

Other than that, you are required to have completed the quest Regicide before facing it. You will need to complete the quest to the stage where you gain access to Port Tyras, where the Zulrah can be fought against. The reason is that Zulrah is located in Zul-Andra, which can only be reached through the underground path that is accessible during the Regicide quest. Once the quest is successfully completed, you can teleport to the location directly.

Recommended Setup

Recommended Ranged Setup – Gear: Armadyl, Void Knight (Ranger Helm), or Black Dragonhide armor. Weapon: Toxic Blowpipe or Karil’s Crossbow. Ammo: Whichever ammo is suitable. Potion: Ranging Potion x1.

Recommended Magic Setup – Gear: Mystic, Ahrim’s, or Void Knight (Mage Helm) armor. Weapon: Trident of the Swamp or Trident of the Seas (Cheaper). Runes: Whichever spell is suitable. Potion: Magic Potion x1

Recommended Inventory Setup (Both Ranged & Mage) – Anti-Venom+ x1, Prayer Potion x1, Teleportation Means, Vengeance Casting Runes (Earth x10, Death x2, Astral x4 per cast), Ring of Recoil x2 (If you can’t use Vengeance), and Food (Karambwan and Monkfish).

Strategy

Each of the fights against Zulrah will have any of the two patterns, which will be discussed below in this OSRS Zulrah Guide. Other than that, you must be able to determine which pattern Zulrah is using, and it keeps changing its form, so you must use the right protection spells accordingly.

When Zulrah Turns Green – Use Protect from Ranged. In this form, it will attack using Ranged and will be vulnerable against Magic.

When Zulrah Turns Blue – Use Protect from Magic. In this form, it will attack using either Magic or Ranged, and there’s no particular pattern to figure it out. However, Zulrah will use Magic more often.

When Zulrah Turns Red – You don’t have to use any Protection Prayers. In this form, it will attack using its tail (melee), and because it attacks directly at the position where the player is standing, you can move at the right time to avoid it. During this phase, he is vulnerable to Magic.

Pattern

For the Zulrah rotation guide, the battle against Zulrah always starts in its green form. However, the next form will determine which pattern you have to go with. If it changes to blue first, then dangerous toxic clouds will be spawned, followed by normal attacks. So, you will have to prepare yourself and dodge appropriately. If it stays green, in the second appearance, then you will notice clouds appear on the east side every time he changes to the red form. The best way to avoid it is by going west, and then running east when Zulrah initiates the attacks towards you. In other words, you’ll have to keep running back and forth. Another important thing that you need to know for this Zulrah rotation guide is that Zulrah spawns’ smaller versions of himself (Snakelings) throughout the fight, you kill them as quickly as possible to minimize the damage taken.
